11 positions for Early Stage Researchers now open for applications
The AGePOP European Training Network will provide 11 Early Stage Researchers with multidisciplinary instruction to train them as the future experts in drug development for geriatric patients and older people. They will be conducting much needed research on the drug absorption, physiological alterations and characteristics of the gastrointestinal tract specifically in the advanced age population.
AGePOP: how young researchers will revolutionise drug formulation for our ageing population
EU-funded project AGePOP receives 2.8 million euro to train young researchers to provide safe and effective oral drugs for geriatric patients and older people. 13 organisations from 5 European countries, with leading experts in oral drug absorption and development, clinical research and practice, mentoring and training collaborate to revolutionise drug formulation, to benefit society as a whole.

11 Early Stage Researchers will be trained in a multisectoral approach to become the future experts in drug development for the advanced age population, shedding a much needed light on the needs of our ageing society. During the project and beyond, they will boost Europe’s innovation capacity and leadership in oral drug development.
